Thanks for the glossary, I won't need it myself as a native Dutch speaker, but it can be a good resource for some of my sewing friends. If you need any additional help for translating instructions you now know how to find me ;) My review of the October issue will be up next week!Mariannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05144010556887549717noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9173179849477212303.post-40743024249677745832015-09-08T00:19:36.679+02:002015-09-08T00:19:36.679+02:00Hi marianne, I've just made my first knipmode ...Hi marianne, I've just made my first knipmode pattern - Inna sent me here actually! I'll look forward to your reviews. Knipmode fits me better than Burda, not in the least because of the 172 height vs Burda's 168 cm!Mariannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05144010556887549717noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9173179849477212303.post-46967807408816993432015-09-04T18:34:45.060+02:002015-09-04T18:34:45.060+02:00I enjoyed your article on CSC. I believe that Dutch and German RTW clothing fits me better than UK RTW - perhaps because I'm tall 179 cm and now have those few extra pounds you mentioned! The availability of PDF makes these patterns worth considering. I'll be guided by your reviews. I look forward to your further articles. Thank you. I'll keep it up for the next few months, especially since both the extended size range and the availability of pdf patterns makes reviews interesting for foreign sewists too. As for the fit, I've been working with Knipmode patterns for forty years now. When I was younger they drafted for 168 cm height (I'm 173) so I just added some length and otherwise the fit was spot on. Fast forward a few decades and a few pounds, (actually more than a few) I went up some sizes and work with my standard set of adjustments. Nothing too bad, FBA, sway back, forward shoulders. On the upside Knipmode is now drafting for 172 cm. Win! Do you alter their patterns a lot?

Oh, Marianne, I would be so interested in more KnipMode reviews! Please please, we need more information about it! There are many Burda and La Mia Boutique reviews, but more we know about other magazines, the better! So far, I've used only two of their patterns, but I'd like to do more!Thewallinnahttp://www.thewallinna.comnoreply@blogger.com
